Mini Biography

Damian Lewis was born on February 11, 1971, in St. John’s Wood, London, England. He was raised by his parents, Watcyn and Charlotte Lewis, on Abbey Road in London until the age of 8 with his siblings Gareth, William, and Amanda. In 1979, he was sent to Ashdown House boarding school, then was educated at Eton College. At age 16, he formed his own theater company, then worked in South London, then traveled around Africa. From 1990 to 1993, he studied at Guildhall School of Music and Drama, alongside Daniel Craig and Joseph Fiennes. Among his teachers was RSC stalwart Colin McCormack. Lewis graduated in 1993, and worked on the stage, particularly with the Royal Shakespeare Company. There he was seen by director Steven Spielberg, who subsequently cast him as Richard Winters in the HBO/BBC miniseries “Band of Brothers” (2001), for which he was nominated for a Golden Globe, among other awards. Lewis continues his career in films, TV, and theater.

    We have to deal with lots of spam everyday that’s why sometimes it take a while to get a post published…..but it’s always a pleasure to have a real person to interact with :)

    En Français je suis plus a l’aise naturellement Quand j’ai decouvert Damian dans Life en Avril 2009 j’ai immediatement adoré ce beaux roux que je ne connaissais pas
    J’ai aimé sa beauté mais aussi son immense talent
    J’ai fait des recherches et j’ai découvert qui il etait
    J’ai commandé ses films et tres souvent je regarde ses DVD
    Son talent est époustouflant, je pense que si il le voulait il pourrait faire une grande carrière internationale mais il a choisi de rester en angleterre

    ecrire en Anglais serait mieux peut etre, car je pense que vous etes Anglaise ou Americaine?
    Persister, votre site aura du succes quand il sera connu!

    avez vous vu les dernières photos de damian dans le site damian lewis.com
    il est magnifique avec ses cheveux un peu longs? peut etre vous pourriez en mettre une sur votres site.! il y en a 2 sur getty images elles datent du 26 ovtobre il est trop beau!!!

    Today there are photos of Damian and Helen of November 11th Always so beautiful!!
    I think that he keeps his hair a little bit long for his next movie “Man is Wolf for Man”
