You can do a search for animal available for adoption in your area, and it will come up with a list of pets, and what shelter they are located at. I adopted a really cool 5 year old big orange boy cat this way, and I highly recommend people to try to adopt a pet from a shelter instead of buying one from a store or a breeder. There are many great homeless animals in shelters just waiting for a nice person to come along and take them home!
